Greenpeace
Greenpeace was formed to protest against the proliferation of nuclear testing (year 1971). Since then, it has become a major force in the fight for protection of animal species and the conservation of natural resources. Volunteers, activists and staff span the globe, cover the age spectrum, and defy simple categorisation. What they all have in common is the one big aim: a green and peaceful future for all. Greenpeace is an international nongovernmental organization (NGO) that focuses on preserving the environment, and it refuses donations from governments or political parties.
